Kosgei Walpole Foundation

I met Isaiah over a chai tea. I quickly ended up chatting to him for hours.
Isaiah told me his story.
His passion is clear: bringing the running community together to raise money for education across Kenya.
After a successful marathon career that took him around the world, achieving a personal best of 2:09:21 (!), Isaiah is now a non-professional athlete who uses community support for running to raise money for children’s education.

Isaiah was one of 9 kids.
He didn't go to secondary school.
His tutor sponsored him through college to qualify as an electrical engineer.

From his years of elite running, at 38, Isaiah could afford school.
So he went.
He sat in a class of students, including two of his kids.
He wore school uniform.
He turned up every single day.
Discipline in school went up.
Inspiration for the kids went up.
He screams about the power of education.
He is now on a mission to use his running to educate more people.

Isaiah now runs to raise money to fund school facilities.
He ran 60km from Eldoret to Iten to raise money for new facilities.
He has built 4 school buildings & sponsored education of 60+ children.
